Come and discover the incredible world of coconuts in Cartagena! With the DAMARTAS (Ladies and Mothers of Art) project, you will meet seven enterprising mothers and heads of families who have created an association to produce jewelry, vases, belts, and accessories using coconuts as the main material.

Las DAMARTAS are a group of mothers and grandmothers with inspiring life stories that they love to share with visitors. You are invited to a unique workshop held in a beautiful rustic restaurant, where you can make your own coconut souvenir, such as necklaces, bracelets or key chains. Come and be part of this unforgettable experience!”
COCONUT WORKSHOP

Highlights

The coconut workshop takes place in a local fishing village (about 30 minutes from the old town), which differs from the old city of Cartagena, which means there is no tourist infrastructure and the roads can be unpaved.

Stay hydrated.

Pay attention while using the tools.

Children can only participate under adult supervision.

on the coconut tour was surprising and educational. From the transportation from the city center to the mouthpiece, everything was well organized. I learned about the world of coconut.
