Mercado Bazurto Tour

The guide showed us the entire market, from the fruit and vegetable stalls to the fish and shellfish stalls. It was impressive to see the variety of products they offered. But best of all was the dining experience. We tried several typical dishes of the region, such as coconut rice, shrimp ceviche, and egg arepa. We also tried some more adventurous dishes like tripe soup and snails in spicy sauce. All the dishes were delicious and full of flavour. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with the vendors and learn more about their products and cooking techniques. They told us some funny anecdotes and gave us some cooking tips.

My experience on the Bazurto Market tour was incredible. This is my second activity with the agency, and they were very attentive and punctual. The guide, Fernando, took us to experience the local cuisine and culture, and I was able to taste many exotic fruits. It was a unique experience that I highly recommend to all food and culture lovers. Thank you Fernando for an unforgettable day!

Amazing country, beautifully seen from the seat of a bicycle. So many unusual sights - friendly people (attractive, relaxed, smiling, shouting hello); fields of rice, coffee, rubber, eucalyptus, dragon fruit, etc., farmers herding brown cows and water buffalo; basic living conditions, cooking, eating and washing-up in the open, spilling out onto pavement; scooters everywhere and crazy driving but it seems to work, no road rage; great respect for older people and ancestors (colourful cemeteries and every house has small ancestral shrine). Came back with a real feel for the country, wanting to learn more.
