The guide showed us the entire market, from the fruit and vegetable stalls to the fish and shellfish stalls. It was impressive to see the variety of products they offered. But best of all was the dining experience. We tried several typical dishes of the region, such as coconut rice, shrimp ceviche, and egg arepa. We also tried some more adventurous dishes like tripe soup and snails in spicy sauce. All the dishes were delicious and full of flavour. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with the vendors and learn more about their products and cooking techniques. They told us some funny anecdotes and gave us some cooking tips.
