Itinerary

We start with the collection

Itinerary We start with the pick up at your hotel, hostel, lodge or whatever your location is between 6:00 am and 7:30 am in air-conditioned transportation; we will pick up other travelers as well. You must be patient because traffic at some point is a problem. We will enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 45 minutes through the beautiful city of Cartagena until we reach the Baru Peninsula.

We will pass through the Baru bridge

We will pass by the Baru bridge without stopping where we will find the National Natural Park Corles del Rosario and San Bernardo. The Baru Peninsula (sometimes called Baru Island or simply Baru), is separated from the territory by the Canal del Dique. Until 2014 the only way to cross it was by raft, or its variants. It was in that year when the so-called "Baru Bridge" was inaugurated (Baru is an artificial island that was formed almost 100 years ago by the construction of the Canal del Dique. The three towns of the island are Ararca, Santa Ana and Baru).

Playa Blanca Famous for its white beaches and turquoise waters

We arrive at Playa Blanca, famous for its white beaches and turquoise waters. It is the only public beach of the Corales del Rosario National Natural Park, once in Baru, we will walk about 5 minutes to reach the Beach Club, where you can spend time in a lounger or sun chair, you can explore the beautiful crystal clear waters. Lunch is a $30.000 voucher that you must redeem for the options we have in our menu. You will be able to use bohíos, sun loungers, the bathroom and social areas at no additional cost.

Excellent

my visit to this pleasant place was absolutely incredible. I loved everything, especially the visit to the national aviary and the interaction with the natives of the area. Although some of them are very insistent when offering their products, it is also interesting to learn about their customs and traditions. In addition, the local food was exquisite, with delicious dishes that highlighted the rich culinary culture of the region. The transportation and islands were also excellent, and I was able to spend a very relaxing time, just what I needed. I am very grateful to guide Diana for her good attention and for making my experience even more memorable. Without a doubt, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and adventure-filled getaway

The agreed itinerary was followed punctually and our guide was very attentive. The Beach Club was beautiful and the aviary had the animals very well taken care of. The beaches were simply divine and our guide Yeilys's explanation was very clear. While vendors on public beaches can be persistent, it was overall a wonderful and highly recommendable experience. We would definitely come back

Amazing country, beautifully seen from the seat of a bicycle. So many unusual sights - friendly people (attractive, relaxed, smiling, shouting hello); fields of rice, coffee, rubber, eucalyptus, dragon fruit, etc., farmers herding brown cows and water buffalo; basic living conditions, cooking, eating and washing-up in the open, spilling out onto pavement; scooters everywhere and crazy driving but it seems to work, no road rage; great respect for older people and ancestors (colourful cemeteries and every house has small ancestral shrine). Came back with a real feel for the country, wanting to learn more
